The simple terms that keep this private studio running smoothly — and answers to the questions new clients ask most.
Studio policies
- 15% deposit. A 15% deposit secures your appointment during regular hours (50% for after-hours slots), collected after your consultation is approved. It applies toward your final total.
- Cancellations. One week's notice for a full refund of your deposit.
- Late arrivals. A 15-minute grace period; after that the appointment is forfeited.
- No-shows. The deposit is forfeited, no exceptions.
- Deposits are non-refundable outside the cancellation window above.
- After-hours. Available by request — exclusive access outside regular studio hours, with a 50% deposit.
Because Shearfinity is a private, appointment-based studio, each reservation blocks dedicated time reserved exclusively for you. Your deposit secures that time and is applied toward your service total.
Private events
Bridal, quinceañera, and other private events have their own terms — a 75% deposit, a travel fee, a signed agreement, and a tiered cancellation policy. See the Private Events page →

Why is a deposit required?
This is a private, one-on-one studio. When you book, that time is held exclusively for you — no double-booking, no overlap. The deposit secures it, and it's applied toward your final service total.
I'm a new client — how do I start?
Everyone starts with a consultation. You apply through the site, and Vanessa reaches out to you directly by text to talk through your hair, your goals, and the right plan.
How long will my appointment take?
It depends on the service and your hair. Vanessa sets your appointment length during your consultation so there's enough unrushed time reserved just for you.
What is a consultation, exactly?
It's how Vanessa gets to know you and your hair before any service. It lets her give honest, realistic advice and build a plan that protects your hair's health — rather than promising a miracle.
Do you price everything online?
Only a few set services have fixed prices. Because every client's hair and skin history is unique, everything else is priced personally during your consultation.
